Investment supports global commercialisation and U.S. market entry of Precision Prostate Care Platform

SINGAPORE AND MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, June 29, 2026 — Biobot Surgical, a medical technology company developing robotic-assisted systems for prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment, today announced it has secured S$20 million in its latest financing round led by ClavystBio in partnership with ZIG Ventures.

The funding will accelerate the adoption of its Mona Lisa platform – which integrates robotic needle guidance and MRI-ultrasound image fusion for targeted prostate biopsy and focal ablation workflows – across its international markets. It will also help to establish a focused U.S. beachhead strategy, expand its clinical and economic evidence base, and strengthen the commercial capabilities required for its next phase of growth.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men worldwide, with more than 1.4 million new cases diagnosed annually1. In the U.S., about one in eight men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime2. The global shift in prostate cancer care from transrectal biopsy toward transperineal approaches is driven by the need to improve biopsy accuracy and access to difficult-to-reach lesions, reduce infection risk, and support more precise, image-guided workflows with greater reproducibility. Biobot is positioned at the center of this shift.

Biobot has deployed more than 80 systems globally and has supported more than 30,000 patients, with adoption across leading centers in Europe and APAC. The company’s evidence base includes more than 50 real- world clinical publications, supporting its role in targeted transperineal prostate biopsy and precision needle placement. By allowing procedures to move from hospital operating rooms into ambulatory surgery centers and, over time, in-office settings, Mona Lisa helps providers improve access, streamline workflow and strengthen procedure economics.

“Biobot has the right combination of clinical relevance, international traction, and platform potential,” said Anselm Tan, MedTech Lead at ClavystBio. “The market is moving toward prostate procedures that are safer, more precise, and more reproducible. Biobot is building the platform to support that shift.”

As part of its U.S. commercialization strategy, Biobot will work with Fogarty Innovation to define priority clinical segments, expand engagements with clinicians and accelerate adoption.

“Healthcare innovation creates the greatest impact when it improves outcomes for patients while fitting seamlessly into clinical practice,” said Andrew Cleeland, CEO of Fogarty Innovation. “Biobot’s platform supports more precise prostate cancer diagnosis and targeted treatment that can improve the patient experience and expand access to advanced care. We are excited to help the team engage with U.S. clinicians and build the partnerships and commercialization strategy needed for long-term success.”

“The objective is not simply to place systems, but to build Mona Lisa into a precision intervention platform for prostate care, connecting imaging, robotic guidance, procedure data and focal treatment workflows,” said Sim Kok Hwee, Deputy Chairman and CEO of Biobot Surgical. “Our long-term strategy is to build repeatable models for adoption in the settings where transperineal prostate procedures can deliver the greatest clinical and economic value.”
