Marcus spent over a decade in venture capital, biotech, medtech and translational research, honing his belief that advancing patient care and creating stakeholder value should move in tandem. 

Marcus managed venture efforts in genomic medicine, bioprocessing and diagnostics across Asia at Danaher Corporation. Prior to that, he was with Heritas/Octave Capital, where he focused on investment opportunities across healthcare, food, education and sustainability sectors. He also was at Advanced MedTech, Lerna Biopharma and A*STAR where he oversaw medical device and diagnostics commercialization, business operations and R&D, respectively. Marcus holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Virology) from Harvard University and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He also holds the Graduate Certificate in IP Law from the National University of Singapore.
