Yvonne's career in life sciences spans the commercial and public sectors, from venture capital and product development to innovation policy. 

Previously at Lightstone Ventures, she was involved in due diligence and programme management for the firm's early-stage ventures in Singapore and globally. Prior to that, she led the development and implementation of Singapore's innovation strategy at the National Research Foundation. She was also responsible for product development at a Singapore-based medical diagnostics start-up. Yvonne holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
